Last Friday night saw the annual Performance Physio Primary Aged 7’s take place at Mike Carney Toyota Park. This year saw records smashed with 9 more teams then last year bringing the collective total to a whopping 41 teams!

Under 12 Girls Only
This year saw the introduction of a Under 12 Girls only competition that saw 3 teams – Cranbrook State School, Brothers and St. Clare’s enter sides battling it out in a round robin competition. Cranbrook State School were the eventual winners of the inaugural Girls only division, beating Brothers 20-15 in the Final. Standings after the pool games are below, plus a few photos.

This years Under 12 division saw a record number of teams entered, with 16 teams overall. Teams travelled in from Charters Towers, Burdekin and Whitsundays to take part in this division. The Grand Final took place between Just One More and Brothers with Just One More prevailing 10-5 in a cracking game of Rugby 7’s to finish the night off. This years Under 11 division saw a total of 7 teams from around Townsville battle it out with some thrilling games of Rugby 7’s played. The grand final was one of the best games of Friday night with Brothers and Ross River Redskins playing out an exciting 15 all draw only for Ross River to be crowned champions after scoring the first try. The Grand Final saw a showdown from the TDRU local competition with the Blues Brothers and Burdekin battling it out. The final score saw Blues Brothers get one up on the Burdekin 15-5.
