Remembrance Day Rugby Games

On Saturday the 30th November the Townsville Brolgas will take on the Army in the annual Remembrance Day game. This annual game has become a popular way to end the Rugby season and pay respects to the Armed Forces. Watch this space for the Brolgas team announcement later in the week!

This year’s games will see a Masters game at 5.30pm and Men’s at 6.30pm at Mike Carney Toyota Park.

This will cap off a successful 2019 for the Townsville Brolgas who despite missing out on winning the Country Championships, had nine (9) players selected for the Qld Country Heelers. The LARCS had a strong run throughout this years Well Hung Glass and Aluminium first grade competition, fighting their way all the way to the grand final. Throughout the year the Laverack boys became known for their physicality in both attack and in defence, they have also recently finished their inter brigade competition. So the Army will be fit and ready to put on a show. Be sure to head on down to Mike Carney Toyota on Saturday afternoon for some Rugby action before the Christmas break.
