Townsville Rugby’s Top 5 Moments of 2019 – Moment 2

Number 2Brolgas making waves around Queensland

With all Brolgas teams playing some exceptional rugby in their respective competitions, this opened opportunities for some of our players to go onto further representative honours. These include Queensland Country pathways for boys and men, Queensland Schoolboys, as well as youth and senior 7’s. Congratulations to all of our Brolga boys, girls and men that went onto the next level this year, we hope to have more in these sides in the near future. Also, a big congratulations to our Local Club / Brolga coaches who had opportunities to coach at a higher standard this year.

Queensland Country Juniors – Picked from Junior State Championships

Each year when our Junior Brolgas travel to compete in the Junior State Championships, the Under 13’s, 14’s & 16’s have the opportunity to be selected to play for Queensland Country against Brisbane City. The Brolgas were lucky enough to get one selection, with star Halfback Harry Willocks (Teachers West) making it for the second straight year. A great achievement for Harry!
