JUNIOR BROLGAS TO HEAD SOUTH FOR STATE TITLES
The Junior Brolgas rite of passage of testing their mettle against the best in the state is set to endure with the next crop of Country Rugby stars confirmed to attend the 2021 Junior Boys State Titles at Downlands college in the June/July school holidays. Competing across four divisions the Brolgas will be vying for QLD Country honours in the Under 13, 14 and 16s Boys Divisions whilst the Under 12s mixed Brolgas team will compete in a Development Carnival. DIVISIONS/TEAMS
Under 12s – Boys & Girls born 2009-2010
Under 13s – Boys born 2008
Under 14s – Boys born 2007
Under 16s – Boys born 2005 & 2006
TRIALS & PLAYER NOMINATIONS
Trials will be held on Sunday morning the 9th of May (9am-12pm)
Player nominations will open on Monday the 19th of April and close on Thursday the 29th of April.Players MUST nominate through their club coach/president to attend the trials.
The cost to trial is $10 per player
Eligibility – Players must be registered for their club in 2021 to trial for the Townsville Brolgas

TRAINING & TRAVEL DATES (Detailed itinerary to be distributed to selected players)
COST AND TRAVEL DETAILS:
The cost for the players selected to tour will be Approx. $950 per player. This will include most meals, bus travel to and from tournament from Townsville, accommodation, apparel/kit and $100+ in state tournament levies. A $250 deposit will be due on Sunday the 16th of May to secure the players position on the tour. The group will travel via Bus departing Townsville on Tuesday the 29th June and arriving in Toowoomba on Wednesday the 30th June. Following the tournament, the teams will be departing on Sunday afternoon at the conclusion of the matches arriving back in Townsville on Monday the 5th of July (Townsville Show Holiday).
FURTHER PATHWAY OPPORTUNITIES
Further representative program details are still being confirmed however a QLD Country team will be selected in the Under 13, 14 & 16 divisions as previous years.
SUPPORTER GEAR
It is planned to have an online shop available for parents and supporters to order gear. This will open for a week after the trial and will close on Sunday the 16th of May. This is to enable the gear to arrive on time prior to the State Championships.
