Townsville and District Rugby Union Employ new Staff to help grow the game!

New Development Officers

In 2022, the Townsville and District Rugby Union have employed 2 new development officers, who will join Finn Andreassen for the year. They are keen to pass on their knowledge and experience of the game throughout the NQ schools.

Clancy Blacklock is a local referee and has been apart of the Referee association in Townsville since 2017. Clancy also grew up playing Rugby in Townsville for one of the local clubs. With his experience in the game, Clancy is Eager to get out in the community and help promote Rugby Union.

Morgan Day is the second ever female Development officer at the TDRU, and like Clancy, she is keen to get out and about around the district, and promote not only rugby in general, but help boost the growing girls competition here in Townsville. Morgan has been surrounded by the game for most of her life, and has played with the Charters Towers Bulls for the past 5 years.
