2026 Senior Brolgas Players to Watch

Our 2026 Senior Brolgas kick off their Queensland Country Championships campaign tonight!

Before the action gets underway, here are a few players to keep an eye on throughout the tournament:

Senior Men

Hamish Cassady – A thrilling new addition to the Brolgas program in 2026. Blessed with natural speed, excellent balance, and a fierce competitive edge, Hamish has all the tools to make a major impact.

Jack Kent – An experienced campaigner and a key leader within the squad. Jack's tough ball carrying, relentless work rate, and resilience make him a constant threat around the park.

Senior Women

Jenna Poole – A standout athlete whose versatility and clutch performances have seen her progress from the Townsville Brolgas to North Queensland and the Queensland Country Orchids. Her experience and athleticism make her a player to watch.

Siena Tabacchi – An electric outside back with explosive pace and outstanding game awareness. Whether finishing opportunities out wide or taking tough carries through the middle, Siena's ability to create something from nothing makes her one of the competition's most dangerous players.

Colts

Iowani Cavuilati – A powerful and dynamic centre who combines strong ball running with excellent footwork and speed. Capable of breaking the line at any moment, Iowani is one to watch in the midfield.

Luke Madsen – A devastating No. 8 whose speed and powerful carries make him a constant threat. Luke's ability to dominate collisions and gain valuable meters will be crucial for the Colts throughout the championship.

U18 Girls

Zarah Anthony – An exciting young talent whose physicality, work rate, and confidence allow her to make a significant impact on the field. Despite her size, Zarah never takes a backward step and is sure to catch the eye this weekend.

Jocelyn Herron – A tough and hardworking forward who has grown tremendously both on and off the field. Her consistency, determination, and relentless work rate make her one of the key players to watch throughout the tournament.
