The Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 is rugby union’s pinnacle event, held once every four years, and will return to Australia for the first time since 2003. Running from 1 October to 13 November 2027, the six-week tournament will feature an expanded 24-team format and be staged nationwide. The event aims to inspire a new generation, grow participation, and make rugby more inclusive, with all revenue reinvested back into the sport to support World Rugby’s global development.
